| Obverse description | Yellow-tinted notgeld on plain paper, framed by an ornate dark brown floral and scroll border. The central vignette carries the coat of arms of Einbeck — a walled gateway flanked by two rampant lions — printed in light grey as an underprint behind the main letterpress text. The denomination '50 Pf.' appears in a ruled cartouche at upper right, the serial number in a boxed field at upper left, and the validity date 'Gültig bis zum 15. Mai 1919.' between them; below follow the issuing authority legend in Gothic blackletter script, the redemption clause, the place and date of issue 'Einbeck, im Mai 1917.', and two facsimile signatures above the authority lines 'Der Magistrat.' and 'Die Bürgervorsteher.' |
