| Obverse description | Green-tinted notgeld note with an ornate industrial vignette composition: at left, a circular frame encloses a chemical retort or alchemical flask, flanked by mine headframes and industrial buildings; at centre, the municipal arms of Leopoldshall surmounted by a crown and crossed mining hammers above the motto 'Glück auf!'; at right, a large cogwheel and mining derrick. The denomination '50 Pfg.' appears in each upper corner within dotted borders. A serial number and manuscript signature of Der Magistrat appear in the lower centre panel, above a two-column verse inscription in German script. |
