| Obverse description | Printed in black and orange on cream paper with an orange border, this Notgeld note was issued to commemorate the 700th anniversary of Grünberg (1222–1922). A central horseshoe-shaped vignette presents a silhouette scene of townsfolk gathered at a tavern table beneath a window, referencing the city's identity as an Obst- und Weinstadt (fruit and wine town), with the denomination numeral "50" in large Gothic script at upper left and right and the municipal coat of arms centred below the vignette. The legend "Notgeld der Obst- und Weinstadt" arcs along the left of the horseshoe frame, "Grünberg/Schl." along the right, and the validity clause "Gültig bis 30.
