Obverse description Issued as a Jubiläums-Gutschein (jubilee voucher) for the 1,000-year anniversary of the city of Quedlinburg, the obverse carries a bold Gothic-script title inscription across the upper portion within a decorative border of braided ribbon motifs. A central oval vignette presents a panoramic view of Quedlinburg with its castle hill and cathedral silhouette in the background, before which a lively group of costumed musicians — the so-called Münzenberger — march and play instruments. To the left stands a female allegorical figure in folk dress holding a garland, while to the right a uniformed town crier displays a proclamation scroll bearing the validity dates 22. u. 23. April 1922 and the Magistrat's signature, with the printer's imprint H. MEYERDING QUEDLINBURG below.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown and grey tones and divided into three vertical panels. The wide central panel carries a four-line verse in Gothic script at the top, below which a composite vignette shows a brass band performing above a scene of couples in elaborate folk costumes dancing around a target disc, with the caption Kratzenstein's Gedächtnis-Schießen in red script across the centre. Flanking panels at left and right each display the denomination numeral 50 with the word Pfennig in Gothic lettering, set against subdued vignettes of fairground scenes, and a further two-line verse runs along the lower margin.
Reverse lettering Das ganze Land schätzt ihre Lieder,
Zum Schützenfest sieht man sie wieder
Am Bodestrand, wo in dem Zelt
Im Takt sich wiegt die junge Welt.
Kratzenstein's Gedächtnis-Schießen
So schafft viel Freud' in Stadt und Land
Der Münzenberger Musikant.
