| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three vertical panels on a tan and dark green ground. The two outer panels each bear the denomination '50 Pfg.' within an arch-shaped cartouche, with crossed mining hammers below; the left panel additionally carries the validity clause 'Gültig bis 4 Wochen nach öffentlicher Aufkündigung.' The central panel contains a colour vignette of the village of Mägdesprung, labelled above, showing a rural settlement with church tower and industrial chimney set among trees. A green banner reading 'Kreis Ballenstedt' spans the full width at the top, and a serial number appears at the foot of the central panel. |
