Reverse description The reverse, printed in the same Künstlerdruck multicolour woodcut style, is divided into three vertical panels. The left oval vignette shows a fully armoured medieval knight bearing a lance and a shield charged with a cross, captioned 'Kraft' (Strength). The right oval vignette presents a medieval stone tower in a ruined landscape, captioned 'Festigkeit' (Fortitude). The wide central panel carries a narrative scene of a cloaked knight receiving or addressing a kneeling townsman and child before a crowd, under a sky with radiating sunbeams; the scene bears the caption 'Der Döbelner Bürger Beruhigung' (The Reassurance of the Döbeln Citizen). The series number '2' appears at the bottom centre, and the artist's signature 'Ehlemutz' (or similar) is inscribed at lower right.
