| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in yellow-ochre and black, with a wavy-line guilloche border framing a central oval vignette of the Colditz Rathaus in Renaissance style, its steepled tower and ornate stepped gable rendered in fine line engraving signed 'Joh. Hoppe' at lower right. A series letter 'D' appears in a circle at the top of the oval, and denomination numerals '50' are set in diamond cartouches at left and right. Flanking inscriptions in German describe the town hall's construction between 1647 and 1650 and note its fine interior vaulting, with the Latin motto 'Dat census honores' in a rectangular tablet at lower left. |
