| Obverse description | Left half occupied by a hand-drawn vignette of a dockyard worker in green trousers standing before industrial cranes and a ship's hull, rendered in a bold Expressionist woodcut style in olive-green, black, and orange. The issuer inscription 'Gemeinde Blumenthal i/H' and denomination 'Gutschein über 50 Pfennig' appear in stylized letterpress to the right. A Low German motto runs along the top border, with validity text, place and date 'Blumenthal (Hannover), den 25. Juli 1921', and a manuscript signature of the Gemeindevorstand at the foot; the note carries a repeated 'GEMEINDE BLUMENTHAL' text underprint throughout. |
