Reverse description Black and green letterpress design on cream paper, with the denomination numeral '50' printed in large outlined figures in the upper left and upper right corners against a dark ground. The central composition is dominated by a large oval vignette containing a detailed panoramic townscape of Lautenthal as seen from the Schulberg, with the church steeple rising above closely-packed rooftops and wooded hills in the background; the oval is framed by Art Nouveau scrollwork. A ribbon cartouche below the oval bears the caption 'Lautenthal vom Schulberg', and geometric guilloche-patterned panels in green flank the composition on both sides.
