| Obverse description | At centre, a circular vignette renders a polychrome view of Schloss Penkun, its tall brick tower rising above the main castle building set amid dense foliage, with a red shield below carrying the ribbon inscription 'Schloß Penkun' above the large denomination '50 Pf.'; agricultural implements and sheaves of grain appear at lower left and right of the vignette, while a laurel garland tied with red ribbons frames the upper arc. Denomination numerals '50' are set in yellow-framed cartouches at upper left and upper right. Flanking text panels carry the validity clause, redemption conditions, place and date of issue, and the facsimile signature of the Bürgermeister Weselscheid. |
