Reverse description The reverse is printed in black and yellow, with a decorative border enclosing a vignette of the country seat of Privy Councillor Enderlin, rendered as a large rural manor house set within its grounds. A literary quotation from Goethe is inscribed within the design, lending the note a cultural and regional character typical of German Notgeld issues of the period.
(Translation: Country seat of privy councilor Enderlin `The excellent maiden, who stayed on the big farm alone with the girl.` (Goethe))
