Obverse description The obverse is divided into two vertical panels printed in blue, black, and olive-gold. The left panel carries the city coat of arms of Schneeberg — two facing miners flanking a central shield — rendered in white on a blue ground, above a black panel bearing the denomination '50 Pfennig' in white letterpress. The right, larger panel presents a gold wavy-line underprint against which the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is set in bold Gothic script at the top, below the issuing legend; at centre, the Saxon crowned arms within a heart-shaped cartouche are surrounded by foliate ornament, flanked by the date '19 21', with the validity clause and a serial number at the foot. The printer's imprint 'Ratsdruckerei R. Dulce, Künstlerdruck, Glauchau (Sachsen)' appears along the bottom margin.
