| Obverse description | Letterpress-printed in black and olive-green on pale paper, the obverse is divided into three vertical panels enclosed within a dotted border surmounted by a header cartouche bearing the issuer's name in Gothic blackletter script. The central panel carries the denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' in large ornate Gothic type above a serial number, overlaid with a diagonally applied underprint vignette, while the left panel contains a redemption clause in Gothic script and the right panel bears a stylised eagle's-head vignette above the numeral '50'. The date 'September 1921' and the Stadtrat's manuscript signature appear in the lower margin. |
