Obverse description The obverse is printed in black, yellow, and blue-green on cream paper, with a yellow underprint border framing the entire design. The central vignette presents the heraldic shield of Pöttmes — a blue and silver field charged with a gold Gothic double-P monogram and three gold teardrop ornaments — set between the denomination numeral '50' in large Gothic script at left and right, and the legend 'Pfennig.' arched above. Flanking text in Kurrent script at left reads the validity clause and at right the payment authority 'Magistrat Pöttmes,' with a manuscript signature below; the serial number is printed in black below the shield.
