| Obverse description | Green and red letterpress Notgeld note with a red outer border framing the entire design. The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms of Buttstädt — a red heraldic shield dated 1637 — with an angelic allegorical figure holding a sword and scales of justice, flanked by a lion and a fleur-de-lis at the base.
