| Obverse description | The centre of the note is occupied by a circular vignette bearing the municipal coat of arms of Penkun — a red griffin rampant above a golden crown, surmounted by a red mural crown — all enclosed within a wreath of oak leaves and acorns. A decorative ribbon banner at the top carries the Gothic-script legend 'Stadt Penkun i/P.' flanked by cornucopia motifs, while bilateral text panels in blackletter script state the conditions of validity and redemption at the Stadtkasse. The denomination '50 Pf.' is rendered in bold red letterpress at the foot of the note, with an elaborate foliate border framing the entire composition. |
