| Obverse description | Printed on a mauve-brown ground in a typographic style throughout, the obverse bears the large Kurrent-script heading 'Rotgeld=Schein der Stadt Waldenburg i. Schl.' arching across the upper field. The denomination '50 Pfennige' is set centrally in bold numerals flanked by symmetrical scrollwork vignettes, with the issue date 'Waldenburg, d. 16.1.1921' at lower left and the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat' with a facsimile signature at lower right.
