Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark blue and orange on white paper. At centre, a large orange sunburst vignette carries the bold numeral '50' within a circular disc, with the denomination 'PFENNIG' in block capitals beneath. To the upper left, the municipal coat of arms of Ennigerloh is rendered in blue, while to the upper right a stylised heraldic devil or imp figure occupies the corner. The heading 'NOTGELD DER GEMEINDE ENNIGERLOH.' is set across the top in bold letterpress, and a serial number appears to the lower right. Below the central vignette, a two-line validity clause in German script gives the issue date '1. 6. 1921.' and the printer's imprint 'W. GIRARDET, ESSEN' at foot, accompanied by two facsimile signatures.
