| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in red and blue on cream paper, framed by a decorative border of interlocking foliate motifs. At centre, a large quartered heraldic coat of arms with mantling and a plumed helmet crest is flanked by scrolling acanthus ornament; the shield bears three lions passant, a chalice, a swan, and a horse. The issuer name 'Gemeinde Gr. Nordende' appears in bold Gothic lettering at upper left and right in red, with validity and redemption notices in black-letter script to either side of the arms, and a Low German motto on a ribbon cartouche at the base. |
