Obverse description Teal-ground vignette occupying the upper two-thirds of the note presents a panoramic view of the town of Diepholz as it appeared in 1621, rendered in a fine linear style with a church spire and red-roofed buildings across the horizon, surmounted by a scroll cartouche inscribed "Diepholz im Jahre 1621". The denomination "50 PF." appears in large blackletter script at upper left and upper right flanking the main title legend, all within a red and black ruled border with decorative corner motifs. Reverse description The upper portion of the reverse carries a central oval vignette of Auburg bei Wagenfeld as it appeared in 1654, enclosed within a large laurel wreath and surmounted by a gold ribbon banner inscribed with the title legend; a small artist's signature appears at lower right of the vignette. The lower register presents a frieze of equestrian and infantry figures in period costume flanking a central pink circular denomination medallion marked "50 PF.", set against a light teal underprint. Vertical side borders carry additional historical text in letterpress, and a Low German dialect motto runs along the bottom edge above the printer's imprint.
