Obverse description The obverse is printed in green, red, and black, centred on a stylised vignette of the Glauchau town gate, rendered as a crenellated brick gatehouse with an arched portcullis and two flanking towers. The municipal arms of Glauchau — a red-and-white diagonal-striped shield — appear to the upper left, while a crescent moon occupies the upper right; owls are drawn at the base of each tower. Denomination roundels reading '50' in red are set into the towers at mid-height, and two text panels below the battlements carry the redemption and validity clauses; the date 'Glauchau, 1. Mai 1921' and a serial number appear along the lower margin.
