| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark blue on plain paper and set within a thin rectangular border with ornamental corner details. The large bold numeral '50' occupies the centre, flanked to the left by the issuer's name 'Nöschenröder Notgeld' in Gothic blackletter script, and to the lower left by the place and date of issue 'Meschenroe, an'n 1. April 1921.' To the right, a dialect verse in Gothic script fills the upper field. Two facsimile signatures appear at the foot, under the titles 'De Schulze' and 'De Schöppe', with the printer's imprint along the bottom margin. |
