Obverse description Yellow-toned note with a bold Jugendstil-style central vignette consisting of a stylised green organic form enclosing a segmented blue rosette with a yellow centre disc. The denomination '50 Pf' is rendered in large decorative Gothic script at the top, with the serial prefix and number printed above. The lower portion carries the place name 'Lemgo anno dm 1921' in flowing calligraphic lettering, followed by a redemption clause, the issue date of 25 May 1921, and multiple manuscript signatures of municipal officials beneath their printed titles.

Reverse description Brown-ground reverse with the denomination numeral '50' repeated in the upper left and upper right corners in bold Gothic type. A central arched gothic-window vignette, printed in grey-blue and green, presents a detailed ink-drawn view of two medieval church towers — identifiable as the twin steeples of St. Nikolai and St. Marien in Lemgo — set against a clouded sky. The lower margin bears the inscription 'Alte Hanzestadt Lemgo' in decorative Gothic script.
