| Obverse description | The obverse is set in black Fraktur typography on a white ground, with the denomination numeral '50' in large bold type at upper left and right flanking the central word 'Gutschein' in a decorative banner. Beneath the issuer legend 'der Stadt Orlamünde i. Thür.' runs a green guilloche band. The lower register is divided into three panels: the left carries a red serial number and validity clause in Fraktur script, the centre presents the full-colour municipal coat of arms of Orlamünde dated '1194' with a rampant lion on a golden field with red and pink mantling, and the right panel bears the date 'den 2. Sept. 1921', the issuing authority 'Der Stadtrat', and a manuscript facsimile signature. |
