| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black and gold on cream paper. At the top, a bold decorative header reads 'Bergstadt Lautenthal i. Harz.' in Gothic script within a ruled frame. The central vignette presents a large numeral '50' in ornate calligraphic style set within a triangular Art Nouveau border against a radiating sunburst background; flanking the triangle are two arched niches, each containing a standing figure of a miner in period dress. Below the central triangle, a small oval town seal is placed at the foot of the composition, with a two-line text panel stating the redemption terms and issue date, countersigned in manuscript by the Magistrat. |
