| Obverse description | Printed in brown on cream paper, the obverse carries a central vignette of three silhouetted figures in period costume — a standing male figure flanked by two kneeling attendants — rendered in a bold Art Nouveau woodcut style against a vertically hatched background. The denomination FÜNFZIG PFENNIGE appears in large gothic lettering across the top, with the issue date PADERBORN, DEN 10. NOVEMBER 1921 and two facsimile magistrate signatures below. A four-line verse in Low German dialect occupies a central text panel at the bottom, flanked by the numeral 50 at left and an ornate Gothic P monogram at right; the border carries the issuing authority legend in full around all four sides. |
