Obverse description Circular Notgeld note printed in black on tan paper. The centre field carries a large Gothic numeral '50' within a double-ring border, with the denomination word 'Pfennig' below. An oak-leaf wreath flanks the inner circle on either side, and a decorative ribbon banner runs across the lower portion bearing the validity and issuing authority text. The circular legend around the outer border reads 'Notgeld der Stadt Eckartsberga' in blackletter script, and the printer's imprint 'Reineck & Klein, Weimar' appears at the base.
