| Obverse description | The obverse is set on a yellow ground framed by a decorative border of alternating black dots and blue roundels, with the issuer's name in bold Fraktur lettering on a red band across the upper register. A central colour vignette presents a panoramic view of Manebach village in its Thuringian valley as seen from the Elgersburg road, captioned 'Manebach vom Elgersburger Wege' beneath the image, while the denomination '50 Pfg.' appears in large blackletter type on both lateral flanks.
