Obverse description Dark-ground letterpress Notgeld note with a bold starburst-edged central vignette on an unprinted cream ground, flanked by stylised foliate sprays in the dark side panels. The central cartouche carries the issuing authority text and the large Gothic-style denomination numeral '50 Pf' with horizontal line-fill shading. The date 'NOV. 1921' and the issuing authority 'DER MAGISTRAT' appear below the denomination, with the printer's imprint 'R. BLANKENSTEIN' in small capitals at the foot of the note outside the inner border.

Reverse description Dark-ground letterpress design centred on a large industrial vignette set within a starburst-edged oval cartouche, showing a coalmine or factory complex with multiple tall chimneys emitting billowing smoke against the unprinted ground. The denomination '50 Pf' appears in large Gothic numerals at each of the four corners against the dark side panels, and the designer's signature 'HART·MANN' is inscribed in small capitals at the base of the central vignette.
