| Obverse description | Central vignette shows two soldiers in field uniform standing as sentinels on either side of a harbour scene, each holding a flagpole: the left soldier displays a red-and-white flag, the right a White Ensign-style flag, against a radiating sunrise over calm water with a steamship and a sailing vessel. The corners carry small national flags of Scandinavian and allied nations rendered in colour, with denomination numerals '50' at each corner. A yellow cartouche at the top bears the serial number and value inscription, while the issuer name and date appear in bold letterpress along the lower margin. |
