| Obverse description | The upper portion of the note is dominated by an elaborate heraldic vignette in which the crowned coat of arms of Kreis Prüm — charged with a ram passant — is supported by two winged putti rendered in fine letterpress engraving against a tan ground. Below, within an ornate cartouche, the denomination '50 Pfennig' is set in bold Gothic script, followed by a multi-line redemption text in Fraktur; the date 'Prüm, 6. Dez. 1920' and a manuscript signature above the title 'Landrат' appear at lower centre, with a red serial number at lower left. The issuer's name 'KREIS PRÜM.' is displayed in a bold serif banner across the foot of the note. |
