| Reverse description | Black letterpress reverse printed on plain white paper, the entire field enclosed within a wave-pattern guilloche border with foliate corner ornaments. A central cartouche, framed by acanthus scroll decoration, carries the redemption text in Gothic blackletter script stating that the Kämmereikasse of the City of Nienburg will pay 50 Pfennig upon surrender of this voucher, and that validity expires if not redeemed within three months of public notice. Below the text, the issuing authority legend 'Der Magistrat:' is followed by a manuscript facsimile signature, and the printer's imprint 'Edler & Krische, Hannover.' appears at the very foot of the note. |
