A double-rule border with ornamental corner cartouches frames the note; the issuer title in blackletter script appears at the top, followed by the denomination text in bold sans-serif capitals reading 'FÜNFZIG PFENNIGE', with the numeral '50' repeated in the lower left and right corners.
