| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black and blue with brown highlights, set within a double-rule border. The large denomination numeral '50' in brown occupies the centre, below which 'Pfennig' is inscribed. Text in German Fraktur script fills the note, identifying the issuer as 'Kreis Stormarn' and the paying authority as the 'Kreiskommunalkasse' in Wandsbek, with a validity clause stating the voucher expires three months after public recall. A stylised blue figure appears at the left margin, and a brown starburst vignette occupies the upper right. The note is dated 24.6.1920 and bears multiple manuscript signatures at the foot. |
