Obverse description Light grey-green ground with a large central vignette of the Prussian double-headed eagle bearing a heraldic shield on its breast, flanked left and right by the German imperial tricolour (black-white-red) and the North Schleswig Danish-German flag respectively, each set against oak-leaf garland borders. A ribbon scroll at the top carries the place name in Gothic blackletter script, with the validity clause in italic script arching beneath it, while the denomination value '50' and 'Pf.' appear in circular oak-wreath cartouches at lower left and lower right. The date '1. 4. 1920', a serial number, and the manuscript signature of the Gemeindevorsteher appear along the lower centre, with the printer's imprint at bottom right.
