Obverse description The obverse is printed in red, black, and yellow on cream paper, framed by an ornate guilloche border. A bold central vignette presents the large numeral "50" set within a scalloped cartouche flanked by symmetrical wing-like foliate motifs; a ribbon scroll above carries the voucher legend in red script, while a lower scroll bears the denomination spelled out in full. At the bottom centre, the municipal arms of Karlsruhe appear between two text panels indicating the issuing authority and date, with the inscription "LANDESHAUPTSTADT KARLSRUHE" across the top in a bold black band.
