Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark blue-black on a cream paper stock with a repeated 'STADT CREFELD' underprint across the entire field. A solid dark header panel bears the inscription 'STADT CREFELD' in bold serif capitals, flanked by numeral '50' rosettes in each corner. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is rendered in large blackletter (Fraktur) script below the legend 'GUTSCHEIN ÜBER', followed by a body text in Fraktur detailing the note's acceptance conditions, validity clause, and expiry date of 31 März 1922, with the place and date 'Crefeld, den 22. April 1920' and a manuscript signature of the Oberbürgermeister at lower right.
