| Obverse description | Dark blue letterpress printing on a grey-green guilloche underprint that repeats the texts 'DILLKREIS' and '50 PFENNIG' across the entire field. The district coat of arms appears as a central vignette at the top, flanked by the inscription 'DILL-KREIS' and the date '1919' on either side. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' is set in large Gothic script in the centre, below which the issuing authority text and validity clause appear in smaller typeface, with the place and date 'Dillenburg, den 1.
