| Obverse description | The upper half of the note is dominated by an elaborate ornamental vignette of the Jauer city coat of arms — a chequered shield flanked by foliate scrollwork — with the inscription STADT JAUER arching above it and the denomination numeral 50 in decorative cartouches at left and right. The lower half is enclosed within a ruled border and carries the text of the voucher in Gothic (Fraktur) script, with a red-printed serial number above the main text block. The issue date 1. Dezember 1918 and a manuscript signature appear at the foot of the text panel. |

The wide decorative border is composed of repeated pictographic vignettes — horseshoes, bicycles, beehive forms, tower silhouettes, carts, and chequered roundels — arranged symmetrically on all four sides. The denomination 50 PFG appears in plain type at left and right within the border, with the motto phrases Es war einmal at the top and Kriegszeit böse Zeit at the bottom. |
