| Reverse description | Printed in black over a warm ochre-tan underprint and framed by an elaborate border of stylised floral rosettes, dot-work, and scrolled corner motifs, the reverse carries the numeral '50' in circled cartouches at each corner. A central octagonal vignette presents an engraved view of the Alte Münze (Old Mint) in Hildesheim, rendered in a detailed line technique with trees and a cobbled street in the foreground, captioned 'ALTE MÜNZE' divided above and below the octagon. The denomination 'Fünfzig Pfennig' appears in bold antiqua type to the left and right of the vignette, with the printer's imprint 'J. C. KÖNIG & EBHARDT IN HANNOVER' in small type at the lower margin. |
