| Obverse description | The central vignette presents the municipal coat of arms of Nördlingen — a black heraldic eagle with a Gothic letter 'N' on its breast — printed in dark ink against a plain ground, flanked on both sides by ornate teal guilloche panels bearing repeated underprint text. The denomination '50 Pfennig' appears in large Gothic blackletter type on both the left and right panels, with the issue text 'Gutschein über' above left and 'fünfzig Pfennig' above right. A serial number panel is centred at the foot of the note, and the issuing authority 'Stadtmagistrat' with a facsimile signature and 'rechtsk. Bürgerm.' appears at lower right, alongside the place and date 'Nördlingen am 2. Okt. 1918' at lower left. |
