| Obverse description | Plain typeset emergency note (Notgeld) printed in black on uncoloured paper, with the municipal arms of Lauenburg i. Pom. at centre and two manuscript or stamped signatures flanking it. The denomination numeral '50' appears in each lower corner, a serial number is stamped in the upper area, and the full legal text authorising payment by the Stadtsparkasse is set in gothic letterpress across the face. The date '9. Januar 1917' and the issuing authority 'Der Magistrat der Stadt Lauenburg i. Pom.' are given at the foot. |
