| Reverse description | Printed in burnt-orange on cream paper, the reverse is framed by an ornate letterpress border of interlocking foliate and oak-leaf guilloche work filling the margins on all four sides. Two heraldic shields — the Prussian eagle at upper centre and two further civic arms to the left and right of the central text panel — flank the bold Gothic blackletter denomination 'Schmalkalden / Fünfzig Pfennig'. A validity clause in smaller Gothic script across the upper field reads 'Giltig nur innerhalb des Kreises Herrschaft', and a redemption obligation text occupies the lower half of the note. |
