| Obverse description | Bicolour note in dark green and red-orange on a light ground. At upper centre, a pastoral vignette of cattle being herded by a gaucho on horseback, flanked by two large green guilloche medallions bearing the numeral '50'. At lower left, a vignette of a St. Bernard dog; at lower right, a portrait of a uniformed military figure. The bank title 'BANCO PROVINCIAL DE SANTA FÉ' is set in bold letterpress across the centre, with the denomination 'CINCUENTA PESOS PLATA BOLIVIANA' in large red intaglio script, and the place and date 'Rosario, Enero 1° de 1875' inscribed above.
