| Obverse description | Black intaglio print on white paper with an elaborate guilloche border. A central vignette depicts a pastoral scene with cattle and sheep in a landscape, flanked by portrait vignettes of two classical female allegorical figures — one to the left and one to the right. The denomination numeral '50' appears in each of the four corners, with the bank title 'EL BANCO ARGENTINO' arched across the top and the legend 'CINCUENTA PESOS' inscribed below the central vignette. A handwritten date of 1 July 1873 and the place name 'Córdoba' appear in the lower body text, with two manuscript signatures at the foot of the note. |
