| Obverse description | The obverse is laid out in a symmetrical design with the bank title El Banco de la Provincia de Buenos Aires arched across the centre within an ornate cartouche, enclosing the large numeral 50. Four circular vignettes occupy the corners: a sailing ship at upper left, an agricultural scene with figures and livestock at upper right, a riverside scene at lower left, and a rural landscape at lower right. The denomination CINCUENTA PESOS FUERTES is set within a decorative panel at centre, with the place and date of issue Buenos Aires Julio 1 de 1865 and serial number appearing in the upper portion, alongside the word CINCUENTA repeated in guilloche-bordered panels on each side. |
