Obverse description	Right-facing draped bust of Bernardo O'Higgins, Chilean independence hero and Liberator, rendered in high relief with finely detailed military uniform and epaulettes. The legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE curves along the upper periphery, with the inscription LIBERTADOR B. O'HIGGINS appearing in the right field adjacent to the portrait. The Santiago mint mark (So) is incuse at the lower left of the bust, and the engraver's signature R. THENOT is inscribed along the lower truncation. A beaded border runs along the inner edge of the decagonal flan.
