| Obverse description | Green intaglio-printed note with an oval portrait vignette of General José de San Martín in full military dress uniform at right, set within fine guilloche borders. The centre carries the denomination "Cincuenta Pesos" in ornate script, with the numeral 50 below flanked by floral and laurel underprint ornaments.
