Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark olive-brown and orange, with a central vignette of a large neoclassical government building set within an elaborate guilloche border. Allegorical female figures flank the central design on either side, and the denomination '50' appears in the upper corners within ornate cartouches. The legend 'EL BANCO DE LA REPÚBLICA / PAGARÁ AL PORTADOR' arches above the central vignette, with lower inscriptions referencing the monetary law of October 1907, and signature lines for EL INSPECTOR and EL DIRECTOR at the foot.

Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in reddish-brown and features the Paraguayan national coat of arms at centre — a star within a wreath encircled by the legend 'REPÚBLICA DEL PARAGUAY' — set against an intricate guilloche background. The word 'CINCUENTA' appears at the lower centre, while the denomination '50' within ornate panels is repeated at left and right, each accompanied by the text 'CINCUENTA PESOS' in a curved arrangement. The overall design is executed in a finely engraved lathe-work style with no pictorial vignette aside from the arms.
