| Obverse description | Printed in brown tones on cotton paper, the obverse carries the bank title EL BANCO DE LA PROVINCIA DE BUENOS AIRES in bold lettering across the header. At the left, a rectangular intaglio vignette presents a tall-masted sailing vessel at sea, captioned PESOS 50 PESOS at its base, while to the right an engraved seated allegorical female figure is flanked by two oval portrait medallions.
